The Fellowship of Friends is an esoteric school that began in 1970. Our main focus is to create the Higher Self, also called the Third Eye. It is the part in us which is immortal and will survive death.

This is our real, esoteric aim. To achieve this we try to live in the present moment. The present moment is the connection with eternity, the place the Higher Self dwells.

We use specific techniques as reminders for achieving to stay in the present. They are a form of constant prayer - an active meditation or inner yoga that is practiced in every moment of our life. This spiritual work is supported by interpretations of the art and texts of all great esoteric traditions, including Buddhism, Zen, Sufism, Christianity, the Fourth Way, and the Tarot.

Our main center is a community called Apollo in the Sierra foothills in California. The external emphasis of our spiritual work is to create an environment of beauty. Beauty is the expression of the higher in the lower world. Apart from Apollo we have smaller centers all around the world.
