Twelve Tribes Community in Hyannis
Hyannis, Massachusetts,
United States
Our family household has been here on the Cape, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, since 1991. We have numbered from about 80 people to less than 20 at times. It all depends on what is happening in our community as well as the many other communities of the Twelve Tribes to which we are vitally connected. You see, we live to meet the most pressing needs of the people we love, wherever they may be in our great Nation - The Commonwealth of Israel. We live in a wonderful household where we share responsibilities and work together to meet the needs of the day. Our little restaurant, the Common Ground Café at 420 Main Street, is where we serve delicious, wholesome food and drink. We also have a tree care business we call Forest Keepers. This keeps us all very busy, but not so busy that we don't have time to take care of our goats and chickens. We are nothing fancy or showy, but we are so thankful to be alive and we love where we live. Our goal in life is to possess the substance of love so that we can lead a simple life of caring for our friends and in so doing serve our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We all have given up everything to do this and the result is the most challening, satifying, and fascinating LIFE. WE HAVE LIFE! We are part of an emerging culture, a Nation coming to birth that is a Nation of human relationships built on the solid foundation of selfless love. Please stop by.
