Majbacken
Our community started 2004 by four people. We rent compartments in a big 8 stories house in the central of Gothenburg,. Sweden So far we have 18 out of 31 compartments. We are 23 persons 45 years or older and our children are usually grown ups and have left us to create their own lives. The people living with us want to share an active social life together. We eat together 2 days a week. Do some work together in the house to keep the costs low. Have celebration parties whenever we come up with a good reason. Film, literature, cards and such is on the agenda. Why? Because we think that living together keep us younger, healthier, with less dementia and above all - there will not be enough people to take care of us, when we can not ourselves. So we will have to do it ourselves.
