We are striving towards attracting an uplifting community of friends with children to have fun, help each other and grow together. Our social culture ideally would include potlucks, camping, games nights, art/craft circles, performances, inspirational movie nights, recreation and non-competitive sports, music, guest speakers, and inspirational discussion nights. Together we can make these happen. The community would celebrate and honour personal and seasonal highlights. Everyday life may include doing projects together - cooking parties, fix-it nights, clean-up-your-house-a-thon, and group shopping and errand running system, for eg. We could add some workshops for the members, a support circle so we can really help direct each other in our everyday experiences, and weekly reviews to find ways to improve as we grow. Babysitting would be more like playdates so the other families can catch up on things. Economically, some resources are purchased communally. We would take care of each other by trading services depending on people's skills. A retreat could be possible on some land we share at present. A faciliated open and regular forum would provide communication space and decision time. Please feel free to email me to get a more indepth idea of what we can create together.
