Pruning Time
Who knows what the future holds, But you can help shape and secure yours at Hamakua Harvest. Hamakua Harvest is a 14 acre mostly organic farm (No herbicides or pesticides) commercial orchard located on the Hamakua coast (North East) of the Big Island. We currently grow guava for the wholesale juicing market. However our goal is to establish a self sufficient diversified farm where we can help educate others and establish a community of earth friendly people. We are looking for people (Individuals, or families) seriously interested in working hard to establish an earth friendly sustainable agro based business. For short term volunteers we offer warm dry accommodations, and basic vegan necessities of life in exchange for 20 hrs of work a week and some gardening time in the community garden. For long term volunteers willing to commit fully to the growth and expansion of the Hamakua Harvest community we not only offer dry warm accommodations and the basic vegan necessities of life we offer the opportunity for you to help establish a world class community and share in its success. As stated above we are currently a commercial guava orchard, but seriously interested in diversifying. We are currently looking at aqua-ponics, and a cottage based juicing business, however we are open to all ideas, So if you are truly interested, bring your experience, ideas, and even family and lets build a brighter future for all.
