Twelve Tribes Community in Cambridge
Cambridge, New York,
United States
We are a people who have fallen in love, having fallen in love with the one who is love .. Yahshua, the Son of God. His love is contagious. When we heard the news of how he lived and died for us, it made us want to respond. We see that devoting our lives to him and his people is the appropriate response for what he did. We live together as a community of believers following his words and teachings daily. We are a part of a larger group of people, a spiritual nation, the Twelve Tribes. Our community in Cambridge, New York, is a farming community established in 1997. It is nestled in the rolling hills of the upper Hudson River Valley. It is called the Common Sense Farm, and here we support ourselves with a cottage industry that makes wholesome and practical personal-care products. This keeps our developing farm from coming under economic pressure to produce more than what is normal and healthy--protecting our land and animals. We are young and old, families and single people, coming from different backgrounds, but we all have the same desire to love one another just as Yahshua loved us--caring for each other and giving up our time, our space, our belongings, even our own personal goals and ambitions. Whatever it will take to see his kingdom of peace and justice established here on Earth, now. Each new day is another opportunity to learn how to do this in our relationships with one another because that is where it all starts anyway, isn't it?
