 We are 17 adults living in sub-Appalachia on 210 acres of open and wooded land in southeast Ohio (near Athens, the home of Ohio University). We incorporated with the state of Ohio in 1980 and eventually renamed ourselves "Far Valley Farm." We are multiskilled and are moving toward a goal of relative self-sufficiency. We regard ourselves as stewards of this land, sharing sort of an overall respect for life and the life force that includes self-respect, growth, and love. We have grown fairly organically, are pretty tolerant, and tend to be honest and up front with each other. We are accepting new membership applications at this time. Please, written inquiries only.
