The Community
Since 1997 we have lived as a small community in the east of Devon on a little farm that needs a lot of restoration, just like our lives. We are here as a little light in the darkness, just beginning to shine here in Britain, a demonstration of God's kingdom on the Earth where human relationships are truly being restored. Living as one big family, we are learning to trust one another and be vulnerable, to share our hearts with one another and be personal. This is salvation to those of us who grew up in such a closed and hostile society as Britain. We are being healed of our hardness, learning to judge ourselves, and beginning to come back to being like we were created to be, to bear the likeness of our loving Creator, to love like he loves.
There are about eight families and several single people here, always busy fixing the house, caring for the chickens and goats,or working in our little bakery business, or getting on with the daily privileges around the house. You might meet us at one of the markets in the local towns around here or in the summertime at music festivals with our big mobile café, called Common Ground, where we go looking to meet any others who are longing for a new, clean life free from compromise.
Please call, write, or feel free to visit.
